Greening your gathering: the beauty & benefits of biodegradable event graphics

Sub Heading
Once the last act has left the stage and attendees have gone home, what happens to your graphics – and how do you ensure that the only lasting impact of your event is the memories you helped to create?

Consumers are demanding that businesses focus on environmental responsibility and this is particularly true for events. Event organisers, designers and attendees are increasingly turning their attention to sustainable solutions. Among these eco-friendly innovations, we're excited to talk about the new banner on the block, promising not only beautiful event graphics, but also a profound commitment to our planet's well-being.

Be seen to be green

Environmental credentials are a badge of honour, and consumers are looking closer at the brands they engage with and support. Greenwashing isn't acceptable – as an event organiser, you need to have a credible strategy in place for minimising the environmental impact of your event, and the carbon emissions it causes.

While traditional banners have proven effective for advertisements, ticket sales, and wayfinding during events, the dilemma of what to do after the event has persisted. The aftermath often involves outdated banners made from materials chosen for durability and printability, often posing recycling challenges.

Breaking the mould, introducing Evergreen - our biodegradable graphic solution

At Service Graphics, we’re committed to our sustainability journey – and to helping you on yours. That’s why we’re investing in innovative new materials that address the waste disposal and carbon footprint challenges posed by events and temporary installations.

The latest addition to our Forest range is the Evergreen biodegradable banner material, marking an exciting development in sustainable print print. Evergreen, unlike its PVC counterparts, is crafted from regenerated cellulose fibers, entirely free of PVC.

From plants to graphics - and back again!

Just like PVC, Evergreen can be used to make high-quality banners that last as long as you need them to, and can be printed on with ease. Unlike PVC, Evergreen decomposes completely within 12 months if introduced into normal residual waste streams.

Evergreen offers the same aesthetic value to PVC banners, but lets you enhance your environmental credentials. Using Evergreen for your event graphics lets you communicate an authentic message of care for the environment.

Offering the same performance characteristics for short term events as PVC but a much lower environmental footprint, it’s the natural choice of material for events, whether indoor or outdoor.

Our continuing commitment to sustainable innovation

At Service Graphics, we are championing sustainability in all areas of visual communications. We consistently invest in research and development of new banner materials, inks and production methods that could deliver longer banner lifespans, better value and – of course – a lighter impact on our planet.

We're proud to announce we've just achieved a Silver Ecovadis Medal - putting us in the top 25% of companies assessed. We're continually driving innovation internally and in our supply chain to ensure we are bringing the latest solutions to our clients.
